How the DMC USA Works in 2025

We're entering a new era of DJ battles—and in 2025, the DMC USA is evolving to cast a wider net, tap into more regions, and uncover the next elite DJs who will rep the U.S. on the world stage.

If you're a DJ looking to make your mark, here's everything you need to know about how DMC USA works in 2025.

A New Format for a New Era

The United States is a massive country filled with talent from coast to coast. To give more DJs a fair shot at competing—and to bring a fresh, competitive structure—we’re adopting a conference-based format, similar to how major sports leagues operate.

The Breakdown:

The country is now divided into two major conferences, each with three regions:

Western Conference

Southwest
Pacific (including Hawaii)
Northwest (including Alaska)

Eastern Conference

Southeast (including Puerto Rico)
Atlantic
Central

How to Enter the Battle

If you want to compete in the 2025 DMC USA Championship, the process starts online:

Submit your entry in the category you want to compete in.
Be sure to read the full rules at dmcdjchamps.us.
Once submissions are in, DJs will be grouped by region and competition.
Our panel of experienced judges will select the top 3 DJs from each region to move on to the Conference Finals.

The Road to the Finals

The Conference Finals will also be conducted online, with two separate live-streamed events—one for the Eastern Conference and one for the Western Conference.

From each conference, judges will select:

1st place (Conference Champion)
2nd and 3rd place finalists

All three will advance to the DMC USA Finals in San Francisco.

🎟️ Conference Champions will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the finals.🎧 2nd and 3rd place finishers will also be invited to compete, they’ll just need to cover their travel.

Why the Change?

This new format keeps the core spirit of the DMC alive ( regional competition, top-tier judging, and intense battles) but opens up the playing field for more DJs to shine.

We’re staying true to the legacy while leveling up the experience for 2025 and beyond.
